Road Trip to Alaska

I was able to take a road trip with Kim Harter and Peg Elton from Casper, Wyoming to Wasilla, Alaska.  Peg retired from teaching and was able to move to Alaska for her retirement.  How lucky was I to get to go along for the adventure!

New York, New York

I had the opportunity to reconnect with my friends Ana and Nate.  They took me on my very first adventure 4 years ago to Downtown Denver, Colorado.  It was so fun to see them again!

This was taken at 2:00 in the morning when we went to catch a train.

While we were in middletown, we drove over to newburg to visit the guys at orange county choppers. They have a show on the Discovery Channel called American Choppers. We got to see alot of the bikes they have built on the show. We even got to see where they film the show. It was neat.

On the viewing platform at the statue, New York City in the background.

There was an unclaimed package left in the security area which caused an evacuation. Since we were already inside, we had to stay until the bomb sniffing dog told everyone that there were no explosives. We had almost an hour on the viewing platform with no one else around. Usually, it's so busy up here.  Visiting liberty island. This is how big the statue of liberty's face really is!

We also went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
