Teddy was sent to my friend Megan whose husband works on Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. They were able to get Teddy into some of the most restricted places on the base and also into the preschool were he got to be the guest of honor for the Teddy Bear Picnic.
EOD--Explosive Ordinance Disposal. Our Air Force has EOD teams which go in and ensure that our environment is free of harmful things. These teams are especially valuable in war--if bombs or other explosives are found on the ground, for example EOD goes in and picks them up before the good guys step on them. These people are our friends!
Teddy was the guest of honor at the Air Force Base preschool's Teddy Bear Picnic. Children carried their bears with them to this afternoon event, and several wanted a turn taking a photo with Teddy. He even got his picture taken with Teddy Roosevelt.

Teddy got a hide from a couple of airmen and got to go onto the tarmac where not very many people get to go.

He got his picture taken in front of the B-52 bomber!

Two of the pilots let him into the cockpit of the bomber.

They let him give flying a shot!
